Privacy Policy
Mentanora is built to protect children first. We collect the least data needed for learning, we never sell it, and there are no ads.
What we collect about adults
Name, email address, password (stored as a one-way hash), preferred language, and a record of each document you accept with its time, IP address and device, kept as legal proof of consent.
What we collect about children
Name, date of birth or school grade, dream career, an optional photo, practice results (answers, time and accuracy), level and badges.
Location and device data are stripped from every photo before it is stored, and the photo is kept small, only to create the character.
How we use it
To run and mark exercises, work out progress and levels, show reports to you and to a class teacher you approved, and send essential account messages such as verification codes. We do not use it for advertising or marketing profiles.
Who sees a child’s data
You and any other guardian of the child. A teacher only after you link the child to their class, and then only the name, level, statistics and sessions — never the date of birth or your account details.
Mentanora administrators can access data for support and security; every administrative action is written to an audit log that cannot be edited.
Service providers
We use providers to host our servers and send email. They process data on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect it. We do not share data with advertising or analytics companies.
How long we keep it
For as long as the account exists. When an account is deleted, children who have no other guardian are deleted with their results and photos. Consent records and the audit log are kept for up to two years for legal and security reasons.
Your rights
You can view, correct and delete your child’s data in the app, and withdraw consent by deleting the child’s profile or unlinking a class. For any other request, write to us.
Security
Connections are encrypted, two-step verification is available to every adult and mandatory for administrators, and access to children’s data is limited by clear permissions.
